As it turned out they changed their minds and are doing a different thing. Evan and his wife are expecting in mid August and were going to do some kind of decor with baby photos .. but they decided on something else.

I really do LOVE that photo. Are you doing more kid portraits?

I have been shooting my own kids...but I do have a twins senior portrait shoot coming up soon. Right now we are just trying to buy a home that can be a great place for family but also place for my work. I've been so busy with life that I hardly get time to repond or write on here. I have hundreds and hundreds of things to catch up on lol. I just screen to see if my favorite people have written, and then I go on with my day! Lately my forte has been weddings. I adore weddings. Call me mad, most people do! I certainly think I can carve a niche out for myself in that market. Only time will tell.
I hope your grandbaby arrives healthy and happy! What an exciting time for all. I have some family that are expecting their first children. It's all so surreal! Perhaps I will post some more work here soon.

Maybe tomorrow hehe

Well they are a lot of pressure. Your attention is pulled all over the map and you have to always be one step ahead of it. Thankfully after doing a couple of weddings I have fallen into a pace and I know what to expect. Keeping the ball rolling is such a challenge! I just love being a part of such a beautiful and important moment. I would also like to photograph births and special children's events too. I just love getting caught up in the joy these milestones bring in each person's life.

The kind of children's shots I was thinking of are called "lifestyle" portraits. You go to the house or someplace comfortable and familiar for the child and simple take pictures. You know, they get dressed in things that would be cool and such but basically it's like doing shots of your kids at the park.

your idea is great. I'm thinking of marketing myself the same way...except not weddings.

I do the lifestyle pics when I can. I like that term rather than the candid one I already use. Good choice! Do you still market yourself for portrait photography or do you just enjoy shooting for yourself?
